Baronato Quattro Bellezze is a legendary space in the heart of Rome—a small theatre of the absurd founded by Dominot, a mythical, fluid figure of the Roman underground. More than a wine bar, for decades it served as a crossroads of the city’s counterculture—a dreamlike realm where artists, writers, musicians, and filmmakers gathered to lose themselves in surreal and spontaneous nights.

Revived after years of dormancy, the Baronato reopened two years ago as a studio for the project Salò, and quickly evolved into an ongoing artistic, musical, and performative experiment. Every Tuesday, it hosts live improvisations that blend sound, ritual, and theatrical gestures into immersive, hypnotic experiences.

Baronato Quattro Bellezze is not just a place—it’s a nomadic concept, a living organism that travels and adapts through site-specific performances. Its timeless atmosphere has been reimagined at Terraforma Festival (Villa Arconati), ROBOT Festival (Palazzo Re Enzo, Bologna), in Milano during MiArt 2023 & 2025 together with NERO Editions, and in Venice during the opening weekend of the Venice Biennale 2024.
